SUMMARY:The Tony Banovich Roads\, Tracks\, and Trail Memorial Run
DESCRIPTION:Our running family lost a treasured friend and invaluable supporter on October 14\, 2020. Tony Banovich\, Race Director for the Missoula Marathon and Executive Director of Run Wild Missoula\, was kind\, generous\, and encouraging of all\, welcoming countless new runners over the years. He was also deeply dedicated to our Missoula running community\, and his sudden passing left behind shoes too big for anyone to fill. \nTo honor Tony’s legacy and ensure continued support for Run Wild Missoula\, The Tony Banovich Roads\, Tracks\, and Trails Memorial Run was created. This event encourages participants to run or walk 4.35 miles – the average daily distance of Tony’s 1\,731 day run streak – while raising funds for Run Wild Missoula. All net proceeds will go directly into the Tony Banovich Fund to ensure that Tony’s deep commitment to this running community lives on.
