Registration for volunteering for the Missoula Marathon will open May 2nd, 2024!

 

Looking for a different way to participate in one of the events on marathon weekend?  Maybe you have some friends, family or co-workers that want to get involved in the excitement of the weekend?  Do you enjoy a front row seat for the race day action?  If so, serving as a race volunteer may be just the ticket!!  We have more than 800 different volunteer needs/tasks over the course of marathon weekend.  Volunteering is a great way to be part of the weekend without all the sweating, blisters or sore legs!

 

What perks do we provide our volunteers?

  • Volunteer T-Shirt
  • Volunteer Celebration Party at Big Sky Brewing (family friendly)! July TBD
  • Chance to win some great prizes (see below about tickets!)
  • The opportunity to be part of America’s #1 Marathon!

For each task that you volunteer for, you’ll be awarded one ticket!  Volunteering as a course monitor will earn you two tickets!  Volunteering for a 1st shift AND a 2nd shift as a course monitor will earn you five tickets!!!!!  Each ticket will be entered into a drawing for some great prizes (more information about prizes coming soon) to be given away at our volunteer celebration event at Big Sky Brewing, July TBD

“The community support for this race really set it apart. Despite the 6 AM start, there were tons of spectators along the route cheering, especially toward the end of the race when you run through residential neighborhoods. People were also playing music… offering their own aid stations with freezer pops and cold sponges, pointing their sprinklers into the road to cool down runners, and providing ‘adult’ refreshments. Major shout-out to the group handing out beers at mile 23! In addition to the community support, the race also had beautiful scenery and was really well organized…”
