Registration for volunteering for the Missoula Marathon will open May 6, 2026!

 

Looking for a different way to participate in one of the events on marathon weekend?  Maybe you have some friends, family or co-workers that want to get involved in the excitement of the weekend?  Do you enjoy a front row seat for the race day action?  If so, serving as a race volunteer may be just the ticket!!  We have more than 800 different volunteer needs/tasks over the course of marathon weekend.  Volunteering is a great way to be part of the weekend without all the sweating, blisters or sore legs!

“The community support for this race really set it apart. Despite the 6 AM start, there were tons of spectators along the route cheering, especially toward the end of the race when you run through residential neighborhoods. People were also playing music… offering their own aid stations with freezer pops and cold sponges, pointing their sprinklers into the road to cool down runners, and providing ‘adult’ refreshments. Major shout-out to the group handing out beers at mile 23! In addition to the community support, the race also had beautiful scenery and was really well organized…”
